My name is Nate Weir, and I am currently a sophomore at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where I major in Advertising on the creative track. I have experience in multiple student run organizations like the TNH Advertising Agency, a completely student run agency within Newhouse. I also enjoy writing for the tv show 'Cuse' Tonight' where I have been writing for four semesters.
Growing up in New York City, I was surrounded by ads. I would stare out of the windows of the F train to see the advertisements on the walls of the stations, and I loved going to time square and seeing all the billboards. Coming to Newhouse I have been able to explore the advertising world on a much deeper level. I have learned the process of creating an ad or campaign from start to finish, and have had hands on experience developing my own.
As I continue to grow at Syracuse and in Newhouse, I am excited to keep sharpening my creative and collaborative skills with others who are just as passionate about storytelling through advertising.
